Always look on the bright side

Tell her that being seen with us will help to build her character. That ought to win her over (snerk).

Tell her if she goes with you, you will double her allowance.

no tell her she is a minor and she is going and if she keeps complaining that you will wear a fedora and a pair of crocks the whole time and make sure everyone knows that she is your daughter by shouting it all the time

And this year don’t tie the dog to the car bumper after walking him at the rest stop, then forgetting about him as you resume on down the road.

I went on vacation with married friends and their kids. Grand Canyon. The kids were 12 and 14, I think. Anyway they were less than impressed by anything. Now they are grown with there own families and I made a movie/slideshow out of the footage/photos I had taken on the trip. They were all gaga over it. Time changes things, especially since their mother died, too soon.

Yeah. We have 17 yr old twins. It’s been like this for years. But then we catch them smiling on the beach or surfing or the restaurant at dinner or somewhere and we know they are having fun. Even on their phones calling friends on the mainland.

Not going is not an option.

Might be a better vacation without the kids

So…. No nudist beach this year….
