I learned how to “swim” in an old gravel pit when I was about 12 or so.

I rememebr learning to swim in K and 1st grade, and being jealous of the babies (as in 1 year olds with their moms) in the pool who were learning to swim so they wouldn’t have to take lessons when they were older…..
