Walt Kelly’s character Porky Pine in the Pogo comic strip put it best: “I been readin’ ‘bout how maybe they is planets peopled by folks with ad-vanced brains. On the other hand, maybe we got the most brains… maybe our intellects is the universe’s most ad-vanced. Either way, it’s a mighty soberin’ thought.”

We tell them what the Real Up-Time is instead of what is advertised, as in spectrum.

List the prices we pay for printer ink. They’ll either go shop elsewhere or start selling us their own (only black, though).

Now that we know octopi are literally aliens, maybe these guys are just relatives coming for an unannounced visit. As such, they should be shot on sight.

Interestingly the cartoon series “Big Guy and Rusty” the main alien menace are the Squillachians who resemble squids in flying saucers though defeated with the help of Big Guy, still steal cows. We see what New Tronic city would be like if they had won.

Every couple of years, I remember how good this strip. I can never remember where I left off. Thankfully, I adore going back and reading everything. Someday I’ll get caught up. This should be my next project.
