I had one growing up, and the only question I have for Red is, "How in the world did he manage to pry his older brother out of it long enough to enjoy it, himself? It was perfect for âslouchingâ!
When my Grandmother would visit, she would retrieve a âkitchenâ chair and bring it into the living room, rather than sit in it!The couch and matching chair were much too âpoofyâ for her liking â she could sit in them but then needed help getting out, and dadâs recliner was positioned for watching television, not for conservation.
(Oh, and ours was a brilliant turquoise, as well, as was the couch and chair â Dadâs recliner was deep black leather. The drapes were a bright green while the wall-to-wall carpeting was a deep bronze. My mother had âeclecticâ taste in color â Iâm surprised I didnât go blind!
