Single game betting is the real thing, you can throw $20 down on your favourite laundry. The minimum 3- game parlay ‘bets’ are basically just lotteries.
My favorite team is any team that beats the Dallas Cowboys !
That said, I have to confess that when I used to bet football, I made more money off the Cowboys, than any other team in the NFL !
They were extremely predictable about covering or not covering ( the spread ), no matter how their win/loss record was for the season.
This was particularly true, back in the days, when Roger Staubach and later, Troy Aikman were quarterbacks, – although I made quite a few nickles off of Tony Romo, as well.
Scenario coming soon: QB bets against himself (through an intermediary) that he’ll throw a INT in the 4th quarter. DB bets against himself (through an intermediary, maybe the same guy) that he won’t get an INT for the whole game. QB throws the ball where the DB has an easy Pick 6, yet the DB inexplicably drops it. QB is pissed and DB is thrilled. Sound crazy? What’s to stop it from happening? I know that sounds crazy, but what’s to stop something similar from being common?

When the local high school team leaves for college you are rooting for the laundry.

I will start to care about a team as soon as they view their fans as more than a wallet.

Who’s placing bets for the players? You know “what are the odds I can make an interception this game? Hey Joe, put me down for 100.”
