I don’t know Darby Conley, but we do have a mutual friend. To whom I mentioned that it’s clear that Conley has academic art training (unlike so many comics artists). My friend mention this to Conley who was evidently impressed that I picked that up just from the strip. But you don’t see art like today’s strip just anywhere!

All Bucky needed to do was tell Filthy he’s filming a remake of the movie “Cujo” and offer the main role to Filthy. Then Bucky could tell Filthy that Cujo will be killed near the end of the movie by being hit by soap filled balloons.
