I love working more the further I get from the actual part where you have to get up because the alarm rang instead of whenever the mood hits you, the part where your boss is an idiot and what he wants done is impossible, but you have to figure out how to either do it or convince him that it was his idea to change his mind, the part where coworkers are snipping at each other and you have to avoid taking sides— all sorts of parts. It’s much nicer to remember that good parts and after 30 years, you can easily forget pretty much anything.

I like coming in for work. You just can’t get this quality of abuse anywhere else. Except in a third world jail, and the Wi-Fi is terrible down there
