Heart: Look, I'll pay our way on the train into New Jersey... Heart: Then we find some woods full of awesome Christmas trees, cut one down, then head back to town! Piece of cake! Dean: Cut it down with what?
The price of two round trip train tickets: $20.
The price of one wood saw: $10.
The fine for cutting down a tree in a park: $2,500.
The look on Heart’s mom when she gets them from jail?
Priceless.
PATCO is probably closer to $1.50 or $2.00 per person, each way (though it’s been years since I rode it).
No herring. Dean should have told her he brought along his cordless controller from Wii Lumberjack (or his lightsaber).
I hope they don’t choose one next to a highway. Several years ago, NJDOT moved to stop a wave of tree poaching by instituting a spraying program. Lovely stuff. They spray it on in mid-Fall, and a winter’s worth of rain, snow and wind will wash it off. It’s invisible. However, if it’s raised to a temperature of 65-70 degrees (like if you cut down the tree and bring it in your house) it stinks to high heaven!
I’m hoping that Officer Melvin (or whatever his name is) sees them and follows. They’re a little young for an unescorted subway trip.

You never realize until it’s too late, eh?

And fortunately, Dean just happens to have a herring in his hat.

That only works with a shrubbery. Perhaps Dean can knock it over with his ni.

Hey, there’s plenty of woods in Philly! Why don’t they go to Pennypack or the Wissahickon for trees?
