No no no no no. Mavis told them that the pig conspiracy was over. https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2018/6/1 If Rabbit and Weasel try to use Portia as baitâŠthe cannibals should see that itâs a trapâregardless of the use of a âkeyâ word. I think this operation is going to failâŠbadly.
coffeeturtle said âWhere is that one really tough rat (Freeman) that schooled Jacob that he really isnât in charge?â: The rats win physical fights like football games or fisticuffs; but higher powers will support victory for the civilian mayor, Jacob, in a contest that requires intelligent, moral leadership.
Notice how Velda is the true power behind the throne.Jacob canât really get along without her. Sheâs his âmuscleâ when something not nice needs to be done.
Iâve been wrong about a lot, but I remember Portia saying something along lines of this (the conspiracy) being all over and done with, after the hanging of Philo and the elimination of the wolves. I also remember musing that if she ever got another call from the killers, sheâd probably completely lose it. And now, Jacob is going to âget the ball rollingâ without getting her consent first.
Velda ketchups with the cannibals with great relish. But, can she cut the mustard without crushing her buns in those shoes? Man, her dogs must be killing her.
Just for the exercise, imagine that Portia is one of the conspiratorsâthen go back and read from the beginning of this arc (Portia running). Almost everything shown would fit. She could have begun working on manipulating Walt from there. She could have been *spying on Doc and Walt. The phone calls Walt heard could have been staged. All thay so Portia would have protection, like if a weasel with a firearm comes gunning for her. Just as an exerciseâŠas if this story wasnât convoluted enough. :-)

What will happen if Walt gets involved with their plot to use Portia as bait? You can be sure he will.

This story is twisting and turning brilliantly. Iâm beginning to think itâs one of Neatheryâs best.

Ah, yes⊠Portia, the âone that got awayâ. Now is, in fact, a good time as any to see how she and Walter are moving onâŠ

Based on Veldaâs comments, she enjoys working with an automatic rather than a wine bottle. The latter she would rather deligate.

Velds\a might be the next Flask in the making. She shows traits that the security rats appreciate.

Was Mavis James Bond in her old life?

AlrightâŠ. Iâm pretty sure that Portia is the butcher. Those calls werenât for her to give herself up, they were calls for her to get to work.
My opinion, anywayâŠ.

What could possibly go wrong?
