I had a lab mix once that kept bring home shoes, never knew where she got them from (nearest neighbor is 3 miles). I left one where she left it one night, the next day it was gone and a different one was in it’s place. This happened for 10 years, and never the same shoes.

We fill the end of worn socks with catnip and tie them into a knot for cat toys, our clean socks are safe from the cats
Never seen our dog play with any kind of toy, she wouldn’t know what to do with a sock

I’m thinking that when mom or dad clean up after Sophie they find some interesting things.

I don’t lose socks. However I do have a weird dog who chews holes in blankets. He thinks he is bunny.

I know someone whose dog eats socks. The vet bills have been expensive for her.

And I always thought that missing socks from the dryer end up in the same place as extra Tupperware lids. Ya learn something new every day …
