There’s a cookbook called “Manifold Destiny,” and yes, it’s about preparing meals on the car’s engine! Lots of aluminum foil is involved . . .

I miss the smell and sounds of parking a hot car, after driving 70 mph. The big V8 smelled of iron and oil and I could hear the clinking of engine as it cooled.
