Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Comic-con is, once again, in San Diego, California (near where I live; an event I have attended in the past). Just across the border is Tijuana and, further south, Ensenada and Rosarito Beach. (Further down the peninsula, Cabo San Lucas and La Paz.)
Best of both worlds. But bring your passport if you want to cross. Rules have tightened of late.
Hah! Every time I drive from O’side to the San Diego airport, I get lost and end up at “last exit before Tijuana”.Haven’t been over that border in decades, but I recall stores with giant pyramids of fruit, market stalls with hundreds of colorful piñatas, and (ugh) roadside restaurants with roasted goat heads.Mexico - not the border towns- is an amazing country.

I visited Tijuana in the sixties when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. Nasty place, but interesting.

If you go to TJ, plan on spending several hours in line to cross the border. Also remember that ICE has no sense of humor.

San Diego Comic Con has gotten so big that there are now two distinct sections: North of the wall and South of the wall.
