If the strip were made nowadays, I don’t think Calvin would be able to dress like that.

Not only is she perceptive, but she’s better at hitting her target than you are.

I can hardly see a frontierswoman pulverize an Indian for shooting an arrow at her.

With all the times Susie has beat him up, you think that he would learn something.

Wow. Miss Derkins and my wife both have the evil eye roll (panel #3) when they are P.O. ed. Must be related.

This is the only peeve I have against this strip. The female on male violence. Calvin never lays a hand on Susie, yet she has decked him several times. Of course this is within the rule of funny, but it’s also funny in a different way that the reverse is not true.

No wonder ‘girls are gross’ – they are smarter than him and give Hobbes smooches – keeping the tiger off-kilter. lol

It’s now insulting that the western movies I saw when young portrayed Native Americans as enemies. As I recall “Dances With Wolves” was one of the first to reverse that trend? And don’t forget the part the code talkers played in WWII.

Why is it that no matter how many times he gets caught in a lie while claiming he didn’t do something he did Calvin still hasn’t learned anything about plausible deniability. Especially since he just failed blaming the leaking sink incident on anything but himself.
