I think Gracie’s a tad too big to be put into Sergio’s lap while he drives.

Maybe you can teach her how to drive when she’s older, Sergio.

I did when my daughter was eight once. Big corporate parking lot on a Saturday when no one was at work.

When you put you kid in the back seat do something to remind you. 30 have died of heat exhaustion so far this year.

What terrifies me, and I’m an old biker, is the number of people I see down here, driving a motorcycle with little kids on the back or front ( or both ).

Of course, the kids aren’t wearing helmets or protective eye wear.

I see whole families – Dad, Mom and couple of kids and a baby – all squeezed onto one bike zipping through city traffic, with no apparent thought of risks that they are subjecting their kids ( and themselves ) to.

NO! Do NOT put any living thing in your lap while you driving. IF the airbag inflates it will kill or badly injure them. I hate to see people driving with their dog in their lap.

I remember sitting on a parent’s lap and holding the steering wheel, decades before air bags were invented
