I didn’t think it was physically possible for a bird his size to sink between the water resistant feathers, hollow skeleton, and avian respiratory system.
Since the birdbath is circular, Pilsner, you should stick to the shallow near-rim areas. There is no “shallow end.” But, heck, why bother trying to correct a parakeet who can’t even swim?!
