I understand you completely, Agnes. As a teen, at the prodding of friends I went off the high dive once—bumped my head on the bottom, got out of the pool with a headache and NEVER did it again. I’ll still love you if you chicken out.
..I jumped off the high dive twice; didn’t like it either time, went up for a third try, and decided I probably wouldn’t like it any better. Never did it again, and I haven’t missed it at all…

We jumped off the high dive in an old gravel pit. Not much chance of hitting bottom there.
