We have two men to thank for today’s Herman. Mr. O.A. North of New Britain, Ct. who in 1869 patented a wire clothes hook, and Mr. Albert J. Parkhouse who in 1903 invented the clothes hanger in Jackson, Mi. while he was employed by the Timberlake Wire and Novelty Company.
It would not be unfair to say that both these gentlemen had hangups !
