He gets cell bars even in the forest? He’s the hillbilly of the future! XD

She doesn’t want fame huh? Too bad, I’m sure someday she’ll be famous for being Gabby’s mother, whatever that girl is gonna do it’ll be big!

I have a feeling he was bluffing, they’re in the middle of the woods, it would take a long time to find them. Roy can still call 9-1-1 to save him, he can be famous, he’ll look stupid, but he’s never been afraid of that. XD

Her getting down is a woman thing. She gravitated down slowly, like a cat. Same as it is a fact that women don’t sweat, they glisten.

Many people will do things for fame. Charlene will do anything to avoid it.

Now she can bail Roy out when they take him in for misusing 911…

Charlene has apparently mastered the art of total aversion. When strong enough it can affect local gravity. As she effected her escape the aversion dropped off as the square of the distance from the despised one, allowing a soft landing.

Maybe the rabbit broke her fall.

As someone else quoted recently about the law of gravity “Fortunately, I never studied law…”

Say, is Roy upset there? Look at the expression on his face in the last panel.

It actually doesn’t look that far down. She probably just hung from the end of the branch by her arms (which, combined with the spring effect from the branch, would bring her closer to the ground), then just let go, and landed softly enough to not break or injure anything. Roy is close enough to the trunk of the tree to not have felt the branch move very much.

2nd theory: There’s a close off-panel tree she simply moved to, and climbed down on that one.
