The upper left corner of the strip states “real quote”. Am I to assume that Laura Ingraham said or wrote “because there are too many brown people”? I’ve done a 10 minute search and I am not finding any reference to such a quote. Stop crying racism where it doesn’t exist. I have not seen any racism from Laura Ingraham but I am only a sporadic watcher of her show, perhaps you could enlighten me.
Oddly enough, this cartoon kind of supports something I have been saying. “Ask a bunch of Native Americans how not controlling their territory worked for them” I don,t about race or religion of immigrants. Are they here legally? Are they contributing more than they are taking ?( paying taxes for one). Are they learning English or demanding we speak their language? Are they obeying our laws, or in effect demanding we follow theirs?
nsfh12, the real quote is shown at the top of the panel, and the part about “brown people” is in a thought bubble. I’d give you the benefit of the doubt that this was an honest mistake on your part, but then I read some of your other comments. You accuse the left of wanting a Totalitarian government that controls all aspects of life, you state that the 1984 villains were leftists and other equally silly false beliefs about the left. The RW wants to control personal choices about personal partners, reproduction and want to force Christianity on everyone. 1984’s “new speak” matches Republicans’ false narratives like white supremacists being re-labelled as “alt-right”, outright lies are called “alternatives truths” and programs that destroy the environment are called ridiculous things like “Clear Skies”.

The evolution of racism. Which ironically, the right wing denies because they don’t believe evolution or racism even exist!

“Making racism wrong again” should be the progressive motto.
