YES, that is exactly what we do. Sadly, right now it is heard more from the POT aka GOTP aka GOP than from the Democratic side. The POT also start throwing mud sometimes with the first commercial. Just had run off primary elections, Dems did not throw any mud at each other. Meanwhile, that was all we heard from the POT=Party of Trump, used to be the republican Party. Starting on day 1 of the run off count down. The person who threw the most mud had gotten very close to 50% of the vote in the primary while the other guy got less than 30%. Come the run off, the guy who had come within 1% of outright victory started throwing mud on day 1 and got nastier every day. His competitor won by 12% of the vote. Most run offs don’t get lots of voters, this time 70% of registered voters voted. And 7of 10 long time GOTP state lege reps and Senators who got pressed into run offs, lost. Bigly. and after seeing all the commercials during the local news I felt totally disgusted. Most of the mud was thrown by the current legislators. One state wide job the person wanting the job threw mud and went so far as to raise a legal challenge saying the guy did not live in the state for years.. That guy lost.
