What did he do this time, Martha? He sure seems to feel guilty. I’m sure that like many Ballard Street men, he succumbed to temptation, took a flyer, thought an idea was good at the time, got caught up in the moment, had an uncontrollable urge, or possibly had one too many banana daqs at the Tiki. You will forgive him, won’t you?

Ted acted on impulse, guided by years of experience, inherent biases and prejudices, desires and aspirations, and love and fear. It seemed like such a good idea at the time.

Just give me a little time and I’m sure I can come up with something that will satisfy both of us.

I’d have to say the tricky part for Ted will be standing up on those plank legs. You need to work on those calves, hammies and glutes there, Ted.

Ted is thinking he’d like Martha to go far far away.

Figuring out how to say it without making her mad….

This has occupied his every waking minute for nigh on 30 years now.

What was Ted thinking? Is he really sorry or does he just want her to go away?

He was thinking that if he had been convicted 40 years ago he would be out on parole by now. You con’t want to know, " convicted of what"
