Boomer: Snap out of it! Your master is at home worried about you! Poncho: You're right! But… I'm afraid to go back now! I'm afraid I'll get in trouble! Boomer: Okay, I'm going to teach you one of the most powerful weapons in the dog arsenal. If he's upset with you at all, just go like this: Poncho: What the heck is that? Boomer: I dunno., but when you do it they'll forgive you for anything.

You’ve not seen a stare until you’ve seen the “Westie” stare! My Westie has this look that when he uses it on me, I can’t deny him anything and the worst of it is, he knows it I’m not the alpha male, I’m a bro!

Best thing to do when he pulls that “puppy dog eyes” routine is to quickly grab him by the scruff of his neck. This will cause alarm and he’ll drop the facade, which will enable you to administer the proper punishment without guilt.

Oh! That look! How can anyone resist it? Not me. I melt every time and wind up giving hugs, reassurances of my love and sweet talking and giving gentle admonishin that sounds, I am sure, more like pleading than discipline.
