I’ve seen possums try. Some say the reason the chicken crossed the road was to show possums it was possible.

Most chickens do not live in the wild so how would a turkey see them ? Now if your talking bears…..

When I was a kid and had my first motorcycle, chickens crossing the road (or at least wandering into the road) were a major concern.

This is what passes for deep philosophical conversation among turkeys (including the human ones).

I haven’t seen a chicken do it, but I have seen a turkey or two cross the road.

Wild turkeys are still extremely smart, thinking for themselves. Their domesticated white cousins however are dumber than posts, and panic at the least thing, killing themselves in those mass panic moments. Hmm, is that a political statement?
