Libraries are a treasure hunt. Nothing replaces the feel of a book, turning pages, & illustrations done by artists 80-90 years ago. My personal library includes a huge book of how New York City looked in the 1800s & early 1900s.
My wife reads around 5 books a week and gets a call from our library when a book comes in that she is waiting for. . She even reads them while riding her exercise bike.
As a kid I was known to read six books a day -The limit you could check-out…When I returned from the Navy and went to get a new Library card the retired Librarian (Mrs . Lowry) happed to be in an office visiting, with the door open, she saw me and said “Oh Charles how good to see you.” a highlight and never to be forgotten moment of my life…Go Broomie and Gracie….

Libraries also have computers, and activities for children. Check out what they offer! But the books are definitely worth checking.

Libraries are still a thing. Kids can use the internet and even play video games on a big screen TV.
