Hubbs has really grown on me. If he ever finds out Al is actually Ellie I hope they can both be happy together.

I see Hubbs asking his bro Al for advice on asking a certain bodacious waitress out and Ellie is going to be heartbroken.

He is certainly practical.

Huge chest, painted nails, pink bike…yet still thinks Ellie is a guy. Is Hubbs just refusing to see it? Oh well, he exercises everything except his brain. XD

I am concerned about Hubbs now. I was hoping he would see Ellie for the cool female he fawned over, now he just seems clueless.

Hmm, what if Hubbs does see Al as an effeminate man but doesn’t care because he has no predujice toward anyone? He seems to be a kind soul that doesn’t judge anyone no matter what their lifestyle might be. Looks like he really wants a friend. Will this all change when he realizes that his “effeminate friend” is really the woman he’s had a crush on for months? I really want these two to work!

Hubbs is turning into a great human being, hopefully this will all end up in matrimony.

I just noticed the “sniff” in the second panel. Maybe he does smell her pheromones finally. His body know, his nose knows, his brain is denying it so he doesn’t panic!

The flower on the basket in Panel 2 is, imo, a dead giveaway of “Al’s” gender. Hubbs is just seeing what he wants to see, I think.

Hubbs seems ok with a “girly-man” as long as he/she can catch his passes…

Hubbs does love football and will pound any guy on the field. When it comes to women though, even Sedine, they scare him. Is it the beauty or is it living with a domineering mom that gets him nervous? Maybe she always criticizes him so maybe he is afraid other women will do the same. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Hubbs is a cool guy when he’s calm and collected. Let’s hope, when he does realize the truth about Al/Ellie, that he recovers from the initial shock.

Maybe Hubbs does think Al is a transvestite.
