Rat should know by now that trees are incorrigible.

Why do they call them leaves, when they just lie there?

Let the leaves lie; I do.

I don’t rake ’em anymore myself. I just mow ’em.

If Rat is that ticked off at the trees, how about he just cut them down? Then he’ll be ticked off even more once the stumps grow new trees.

I think Pastis oughta leave the antics of rat and pig for a spell; maybe do some crocs…

Pig, Goat and Rat have lots of potential. The Zeeba-Croc dynamic is kind of limited.

Rake leaves?

Fallen Leaves are like teenagers in the morning, they just lie there until you go after them with a rake.

I mow mine and use them for weed barrier in my garden. They also add nutrients to the garden.

Rat’s right, of course.

Naughty trees – make them into toilet paper as an example.

Those trees deserve a good spanking!

I think in panel 4 the rat is ringing the tree (removing a band of bark) to teach the tree a lesson.
