You know, for the amount of money they spent on costumes, and the time it took to keep changing them, they could have gone out and bought a lot more candy for themselves…
Back in the early 60s, my mother always asked, “Who do we have here?” She wanted to know who the kids were who came to our door. There was one boy who came really early and then tried to come later with friends in a different costume. I’m sure he got a lot of extra candy, but not from OUR house. My mother would call him out! “Jackie!!! You’ve already BEEN here!” (“No sweets for YOU”, said in my Soup Nazi voice).

Wizard of Oz, Toy Story, Star Wars battle at Endor, KISS, Incredibles… this family sure is well stocked on costumes.

Love the costumes, but seriously—think of all the candy they could have bought! Of course, it wouldn’t have been nearly as much fun!
