I see some people who are so consumed by revenge that it ruins their life more than anything they could do to the person they want to get even with. I am seeing some of this due to the MeToo movement where some women are so angry with the man that it winds up ruining the lives of both where the two parties were both equally at fault. The legitimate claims of some women who were assaulted or raped by some low life male are being pushed to the back burner by some questionable accusations that the media is being played like an old violin.
Let’s remember, though, that letting go does not necessarily mean we have to put ourselves in the path of danger. That person who committed the problem will probably do so again, as s/he sees nothing wrong with it.

I think this cartoon is really profound. Too many times we let resentments build up and consume us. Letting go is very liberating.

Some people equate their self worth with being wrong.

Being angry, aggrieved and affronted is like taking poison everyday and expecting the other person to die.
