Goats are good companions for horses. I don’t know about donkeys.
Goats are underrated animals. They can provide milk and wool (although they are not bred to do so like sheep were – artificial selection vs. genetic engineering) and to put it not too delicately, they are delicious, high in protein and low in fat. I imagine once breeders figure that out, they’ll corn feed them and make them unhealthy to eat.
