Come on Voss! How can you stand causing that look of disappointment on Wolfe’s face? After all he’s done for you? That’s got to be stronger than Envy’s influence!
Too strong… Is Voss referring to Envy, or his inner fear? A moment ago, he wanted to get in there and do something…
If there was an eighth deadly sin, it would probably be Cowardice.
But, truth be told, we really can’t blame Voss for being so afraid, can we? His whole life, he was considered to be a good-for-nothing, which fueled his jealousy of Wolfe, which in turn made him vulnerable to Envy’s control. Now, he’s been given another chance (well, sort of…) to do something about Envy, but he’s so scared, he doesn’t know what to do…
But, after seeing Wolfe’s disappointment, perhaps the right amount of guilt will give him some courage…
