Neanderthals were larger than us, stronger and had BIGGER brains too. The one problem was that Homo Sapiens were stealing their women and impregnating them in sufficient enough numbers that the males died out and why we have between 2% & 60% of Neanderthal genes in them. A few have none. The other may have been that they were extremely conservative so they were slow to change their behaviors and froze to death. Now with the big heat looming we are collectively acting the same way as mass death knocks at out door.
