    Turdus is the Latin word for thrush. Otherwise I would nominate turdus migratorius to be the Latin name for Canada goose. Although they don’t migrate as much as they should.

    We have robins year round in Portland, OR. In the summer we have the southern flocks coming up here and in the winter we have the flocks that summer in Alaska.
