L. Frank Baum wrote 14 books concerning the land of Oz. And in one of them, the Tin Man has had the Winkies build him a tin castle, with tin furnishings. So an aluminum Christmas Tree would fit right in. Besides, they are a 1950’s item and “Mid Century Furnishings” are all the rage.
I still love the look of them and actually ordered one a few years ago. But, oh my, the set up! Dozens of individual branches to poke in little holes. And then the color wheel quit working…nostalgia comes with a price.
