I have a german friend who as a kid would get hold of American comics, one year she asked her mum to make her a costume for a fancy dress competition and she won first prize. As she went up to collect it a lady said “..and first prize goes to this lovely cat” at which my friend replied (in german it sounds funnier) “I’m not a cat, I’m BATMAN!”.
