been retired from my own business for 18 years now, but still working part time…and still getting up at four AM. It’s in the system.

Retired eight years now, and prefer to rise at dawn most mornings. Seldom sleep in past seven….anyways, I can always take a nap when needed.

It is a lot easier to get up early when you don’t have to go and beat your head against the wall all day!

He had to get up to pee four times during the night but I guess that doesn’t count as getting up.

I worked the all night shift for 35 years. I still am mostly an all night person. It is peaceful and walking at night is very refreshing. (safe neighborhood of course)

My parents are both retired and still wake up at 5AM daily.

That’s about the best part of retirement to me too. I’ve always been a night owl but hated getting up early for school and work
