Just as an FYI: avalanche airbags are not just for extreme skiing. The perfect slope angles for fun skiing are also perfect for avalanches: steeper intermediate (blue-black) to advanced (black diamond) runs.

I don’t know anything about skiing, but I don’t think an airbag will do you any good in an avalanche.
