    One time, we tied our napkins to our knives and waved them at the waiter. Actually a true story!

    More than once I’ve had to get up and ‘corner’ my server at the ‘gabbing’ stand. I am a generous tipper, but not in those instances.

    I’ve had that happen at a national chain resaraunt. First time, just a bad tip – at least we did finally get served. Second time, talked to the managerwho said “yeah, we know that she’s not good with customers”. Never again, but that’s easy now – they went ‘belly up’….. OK, sorry for that…. 8^)
