I recall a weatherman toward the end of one year finally telling what many had been thinking. Twenty percent was iffy. Ten percent was surer than odds of any gambling hall. He also admitted he had been helping with the ongoing drought of the past several years.
Just in case there are some here who haven’t heard this one: You are on “Let’s Make a Deal” and Monty asks you to choose one of three doors. Behind two of them are goats and behind the third is a car. You choose Door #1 and Monty shows you a goat behind Door #2. He then asks if you wish to switch your choice to Door #3. What should you do, stay with Door #1 or switch to Door #3?

You should switch. Your chance to get the car is 66 2/3% if you do, not 50%. What illustrated it best to me was, if there were 1 million doors and Monty showed you 999,998 goats, you’d switch doors pretty darn quick! ☺

Where I am in the Adirondack North Country of Upstate New York we get that 10% often.

Early last month in mid-Missouri, the forecast was “Partly Cloudy”. We got 3 inches of snow that day.

It’s better to be out and about on a snowy day than a rainy one.
