    Why would somebody have to pay to renounce citizenship? Move to another country, become a citizen or a legal resident there, and you’re done. Exactly who are supposed to pay it to?

    must be why everyone famous and full of themselves that threatened to leave the USA if a certain person was elected didn’t – hmm – I really hate to see anybody suffering or upset but I’m too broke to lend them the money :) (sarc)

    To renounce US citizenship, should be free or maybe even be given monetary incentive. There are too many angry, ungrateful and ignorant people in this country. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
