J.J, just inadvertently exposed one of the weaknesses of her craft. It can be like crying wolf. As with Andy Kaufman, you can lose peopleâs trust, so they no longer know when youâre performing and when youâre not. Some may be okay with that, though. I would consider it a disadvantage when the time comes that you need to be earnestly understood, but no longer can.

I take it that âhackingâ had a different meaning in the late 1980s. I couldnât find what I think is J. J.âs usage in Merriam-Webster.
