More to the point, I recently found a gift card that is estimated I got 3 Christmases ago, still in it’s envelope. I think I would have noticed if Christmas went that long without ending.
Let her hold onto the gift, then let you know when she’s ready to let go of Xmas and open it in front of you. Make it a win-win situation whenever you can.
