I have notice that our pets are very sensitive to our health and moods. My wife suffers from bipolar syndrome. Even with the medication she is often down. At these times our catahoula will spend a lot of time near her. Both the cat and dog will spend a lot of time in the company of sick family members trying to comfort them.
Friends with a four-member family that is evenly divided on accepting kisses from a dog. One parent, yes, other parent, no; one daughter, yes, other daughter, no. : )

My boy will clean one half of your face with his first kiss. My gal’s kisses are more surgical and soft. Same breed, different attitudes.
