Suddenly the glacier cracks! There’s a roar! Tons of ice! No escape! Aaaagh! How’s things been with you?

Too mush! Poor CB never catches a break!

I had to read the comic twice to get the joke.

The double entendre is probably lost on younger readers. Today’s strip also brought to mind a TV show I enjoyed watching during that era—Sergeant Preston of the Yukon—“Mush. Mush. On You Huskies!”

Poor Charlie Brown, bad timing is about to get him pummeled. Bad timing and Shermy’s ignorance of dogsledding.

Didn’t realize Shermy and Violet had a thing as they pretty much disappeared later on.

For some reason Shermy thinks Charles was insulting his girl Violet.
