anyone old enough to know the song’s title and its artist?
I believe it’s just a poem.
???
It sounds like the type of song that Shirley Temple would have sung.
Just ask Don McLean…
“In the Big Rock Candy Mountain…”
I like to save copies of these early strips that feature household items that once were commonplace but are rarely seen today. Given when this strip originally ran, the record probably would be a 78.
And if you play it backwards, it says, “The Shut-Eye Town Garden in the Sugar-Plum Tree will weigh your rock eye. Also, Paul is dead.”
Look! Charlie Brown made a Schulz.
