You know, Chuck, the dog is right in front of you and you have a golf club in your hand. The obvious solution is left as an exercise for the reader.

Snoopy plays fetch at the wrong time for Charlie Brown.

Now teach Snoopy to drop the ball in the little hole and you get a hole in one on every shot!

Schulz could have ended this one in the third panel, and it still would have been cute.

Now he plays “fetch”…

There must be a few hundred people in the world so gifted at golf that they thrive on working hard to get better and better at it. And of course there are the bosses who enjoy “proving” that they can outplay their subordinates, and the subordinates who are conscripted into playing their bosses and letting them win. But, going by everything I’ve ever heard or seen or read, nearly everyone else who keeps playing must be caught in an addictive/compulsive cycle of endless, nerve-wracking, deliberate frustration!

And now you know why Tentoes does not play golf!

So yeah. Spell it backwards and that’s the extent of my play.

At least you’re having a nice walk?

At this point, Snoopy would rather save a good walk than let Charlie Brown ruin it.

Poor Charlie Brown. Many people wonder why they play that game.
