So … CB reads to Lucy, makes her butter sandwiches (folded not cut to prevent the flavor from leaking out) and plays checkers with her about whenever she likes – but Sally’s his sister?
Also, the book is wrong. 1770 Bonn was the capital of the Electorate of Cologne, which it would remain for about another twenty-four years. It became a part of the First French Empire in 1794. And then in 1815, under the terms of the Congress of Vienna following the Napoleonic Wars, Bonn became a part of the Kingdom of Prussia. So Beethoven was not born in Prussia in 1770 but the Electorate of Cologne.

Have Schroeder read it.

Maybe he should read the “biography” of Solomon Grundy instead.

I didn’t know that Bonn was part of Prussia in 1770, but assume Schroeder’s book was properly researched.

If Lucy had kept the book and studied it, she’d have had a lot less heartache down the road.

Oh, is that why he’s slowed down to read it?
