And just like that Charlie Brown set himself up to be Lucy’s football stooge for decades to come.

I like this Charlie Brown better. He doesn’t take garbage like the later years. Also, I always thought Lucy was the same age as him.

Should’ve just said “yes”

And this is why Lucy seeks football revenge.

I think David Bowie wrote that one song about Lucy… Y’know “Queen… Lady Dog”… ;-P

Can’t really blame him.

Yes C.B! Stand up to her while she’s young!

Yes! I like it when CB doesn’t take cxxp from Lucy.

I like who he later became, when Lucy became the same age. He’s just not Charlie Brown in these really old strips!

Note that as has been shown in recent strips, CB is also a pompous blowhard when he talks about how perfect he is and never makes mistakes.
