I thought Lucy had the hots for pianist Schroeder, not blockhead Charlie Brown.
She would have pulled away the football at the altar.
Even as a toddler, Lucy knew she would have to settle.
Wishy Washy and Crabby, what a combo that would be!
CB a future battered husband.
Run, Schroeder…you’re next!
Still hope that will or you won’t get married? ’Cause you started off sounding not too keen on the idea.
It’s that the leading cause of marriage? Losing your mind?
When Mad magazine ran an article portraying comics characters as grown-ups, they showed Lucy married to Charlie Brown. She was a domineering shrew, CB was a milquetoast, and Charlie Brown, Jr. was a Schroeder clone.
So she later transfers that thought to Schroeder.
Charlie Brown should hope that would never happen
I say again as my Grandfather said, “Love is blind, but marriage is the eye-opener”
