I’d often watch TV shows, and then dream about interacting with the characters.

When I was a kid, at one visit to the DDS, he needed me to be asleep. He put a mask over my face. I had a dream that I was piloting a jet fighter.

I read about the old west a lot, does that mean that I’ll dream about it?

When I was young I would have a summer job sorting tomatoes. At night my dreams would be filled with tomatoes passing before me.

Wish that explained my dreams. At least the ones I could remember (seriously, we all probably have dozens of dreams a night and maybe remember between one and four, maybe one and six, the next day if we remember any at all). Never have I had a dream that fit in with what I’d been reading before going to sleep.

Though years ago I used to play music when I’d go to sleep. Just pop a tape in at the beginning of a side and play it so low you could just barely hear it. Unlike reading that did affect my dreaming. Dreamed I was at a concert with no memory of how I got there. Only realized it was a dream when the tape ended and the player thumped off. Woke me just enough to realize the concert was a dream, but not enough to not immediately fall back to sleep.

Same basic idea as what Patty is telling Charlie Brown, just a different source.

That was back when Lucy was a toddler.
