That last panel reminds me of an incident that occurred when my wife and I were going through the process of becoming adoptive parents. One hoop we had to jump through was to be fingerprinted. I won’t tell the whole saga of that disaster, or I’ll be here all day. Suffice it to say that the police officer took the prints off my right hand with no problem.

Then he went to take my left prints…

He put the pad down, looked up at me and said, “You play guitar, don’t you?”

I had so much callous on my left fingertips that he couldn’t get a set of prints. After about five tries, he finally got a set he could use.

Yep – you gotta make sure that ridge detail is crisp and visible!

Pig Pen can burglarize jewelry stores and banks and leave no fingerprints.

One of the questions I wish I could’ve asked Sparky had we met was why did Pigpen disappear from the later years of Peanuts. He was such a staple for so long. He was even in the original made for TV Christmas special but then - nothing
